A pediatric endocrinologist specializes in diagnosing and treating hormone-related conditions in children, adolescents, and young adults. At PedsEndoCare, we care for patients with Type 1 diabetes, thyroid disorders, growth concerns, weight management challenges, puberty disorders and other endocrine conditions that affect your child’s overall health.
Concierge pediatric endocrinology combines specialized endocrine care with a membership-based model that provides enhanced access to your physician. Families benefit from longer appointments, direct communication with Dr. Aftab Guy, personalized treatment plans, and a more proactive approach to managing their child’s health.
In many cases, a referral is not required to become a member of PedsEndoCare. Families are encouraged to contact our office directly to discuss their child’s needs and learn more about the membership process.
New members will be contacted directly by Dr. Aftab Guy upon enrollment to arrange the first office consultation visit. In order to accommodate your child’s needs and ensure you receive the appropriate care, all scheduled appointments will be coordinated through the office. Families are encouraged to contact our office during office hours to schedule any appointments. Current members can contact our office at 615-785-9693. You may also reach Dr. Aftab Guy through the membership email given to you at your first consultation.
Follow-up schedules vary depending on your child’s diagnosis, treatment plan, and overall health needs. Some patients require more frequent monitoring, while others may be seen at longer intervals. Dr. Aftab Guy develops individualized care plans that ensure each patient receives the appropriate level of support and follow-up care.
Your child may benefit from seeing a pediatric endocrinologist if they are experiencing unexplained growth concerns, early or delayed puberty, abnormal weight gain, thyroid symptoms, diabetes symptoms, or other hormone-related issues. If you have concerns about your child’s growth, development, or metabolism, an evaluation can help determine whether specialized care is needed.
We are an out-of-network concierge pediatric endocrinology practice. While your membership fee covers the concierge services provided by PedsEndoCare, you can typically use your health insurance for services performed outside of our office, such as laboratory testing, imaging, X-rays, prescriptions, specialist referrals, hospital services, and other diagnostic procedures, depending on your individual insurance plan.
Your first visit includes a comprehensive review of your child’s medical history, growth patterns, symptoms, previous testing, and family history. Dr. Aftab Guy will discuss your concerns, learn about your child, perform a thorough evaluation, listen to your questions, and recommend any necessary testing or treatment options. Our appointments are intentionally designed to be unhurried so families have the time they need to fully understand their child’s care plan.
Unlike traditional practices that often operate with high patient volumes and limited appointment times, PedsEndoCare focuses on personalized, relationship-driven care. Families have greater access to their physician, longer visits, enhanced communication, and individualized treatment plans tailored to their child’s specific needs.
At the time of diagnosis, it is important to make sure that your child is stabilized by getting them on a treatment plan. The next step is to establish care with a pediatric endocrinologist who can create a personalized treatment plan and provide ongoing guidance. At PedsEndoCare, we help families learn how to monitor blood sugar, administer insulin, understand nutrition and carbohydrate counting, recognize signs of high and low blood sugar, and use diabetes management technology such as continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps. Our concierge model gives families direct access to Dr. Deanna Aftab Guy, ensuring you have the guidance and reassurance you need as you navigate your child’s diagnosis with confidence. Your membership also provides access to our diabetes educator and nutritionist in the office. Learn more about our diabetes care.
